Alterations and addition to two existing structures dating from the 19th century in the historic district of Fair Haven. The project includes, renovations, alterations, relocation and reconstruction for various parts of the two existing buildings as well as an approximate 6,000 sq. ft. addition tying both structures together.

5 to 6 bedroom house using relatively simple forms (pretty much all right angles and gable end roofs), the house needed to live comfortably for the day to day life of “empty nesters”, but also accommodate the kids coming home as well as visits from extended family and friends, and create multiple connections with the outdoors.

This project began as an addition / alteration with the primary goals of adding a third garage bay and expanding the master suite over top and changing the overall look of the traditional two story 1960’s tract home by adding details and building elements of an arts and crafts style home.
